Fireworks & Noise Fear

For many dogs, fireworks are not just “loud” —

they’re overwhelming.

If your dog is afraid, don’t try to push them through it.
Create a safe, quiet space at home

where they can retreat and feel protected.

Your calm presence matters more than anything.
Stay close, speak softly, and allow your dog

to seek comfort.

You can help by reducing the intensity of the environment.
Close windows and shutters, play some background music, and offer something engaging like a chew or a food-filled toy to help them cope.

Never leave your dog outside during fireworks.
Balconies, yards, or terraces can be dangerous — this is when many accidents and escapes happen.

If your dog shows intense stress, it’s worth working on it before these situations occur — not during.
Preparation makes all the difference.
